Competition after economic crises – from the conference held by the ICA
The Icelandic Competition Authority organized and held a conference where it's newly published report Competition after economic crises was introduced. At this conference Mr. Benedikt Árnason economist at the ICA, Ms. Sonja Bjarnadóttir lawyer at the ICE and Mr. Páll Gunnar Pálsson general director of the ICA introduced the report. Also Mr. Árni Páll Árnason minister of Economic and trading, Ms. Birna Einarsdóttir CEO of Íslandsbanki and Mr. Hermann Guðmundsson CEO of N1 spoke.
The conference was held at the Hotel Hilton Nordica in Reykjavík and well over 200 people attended it from both public companies and from the government. The Icelandic Competition Authority thanks its speakers and everyone else for their participation and hope that the discussion and efforts about competition affairs for companies in and after crises will continue.
