Concerning the request of Eimskip before Reykjavik District Court, about the ICA´s ongoing investigation
Eimskipafélag Íslands hf (Eimskip) has announced publicly that the undertaking has made a request before the Reykjavík District Court, for the ongoing investigation into the operations of the Eimskip and related companies, conducted by the Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA), to be terminated.
Eimskip´s claims and viewpoints are explained in its presentation of the claim, made public by the undertaking. The ICA considers its investigation to be in accordance with law and will respond to Eimskip´s claims in the proceedings before the Court.
The ICA´s investigation began with a dawn raid in september 2013. An earlier investigation into certain aspects of the case was also merged with the said investigation. The investigation has been conducted continuously and is well underway, given its considerable scope.
