  The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has examined the merger between Lyf og heilsa hf. and Börkur ehf. The merger was notified with a long form notification on basis of Article 17 a of the Icelandic Competition Act No 44/2005. Lyf og heilsa is a pharmaceutical company but has also control over Glerverksmiðjan Samverk ehf., that produces glass. Börkur is a company specialized in the production of windows and doors. After the merger investigation it was the conclusion of the ICA that there is no need for intervention of the merger on the basis of Article 17 of the Competition Act.
