  The Icelandic Competition Authority (hereafter ICA) has examined the merger between Skógarsalir ehf. (Hereafter Skógarsalir) and Loftorka í Borgarnesi ehf. (Hereafter Loftorka). Loftorka specialises in pre-cast concrete products, while Skógarsalir's parent company, Steypustöðin ehf. (Hereafter Steypustöðin) mainly produces concrete. Skógarsalir, is not active in the building sector. During its investigation, ICA gathered information/materials from various sources and used materials from its previous merger investigations concerning the building sector. ICA has conditionally approved the merger, as the commitments entered into deal with the possible competition concerns.
