Merger of Langisjór ehf. and K-102 ehf.
After the investigation, it is ICA‘s assessment that there is no reason to believe that the merger that results from this acquisition will have any undesirable effects on competition in the market. Therefore, there is no reason to intervene in this merger on the basis of Article 17 c of the Icelandic Competition Act no. 44/2005.

Merger of SalMar ASA and NTS ASA
With this decision, a decision is taken on the merger of SalMar and NTS, but with such a merger, Arnarlax and Arctic Fish, which farm Icelandic salmon in the Westfjords, would have been controlled by the same party. The conclusion of the investigation is that there are no grounds for intervention in the case.

Merger of Síldarvinnslan and Vísir approved
The decision deals with the interaction between competition laws and provisions in the Fisheries Management Act. Attention is drawn to the fact that control is not defined in the same way in the two laws. It is the task of the Fisheries Agency to follow up on compliance with the provisions of the Fisheries Management Act.
Merger of Ardian and Míla approved with conditions
The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has completed its investigation into the acquisition of Ardian France of all shares of Míla, a subsidiary of Síminn. With a settlement signed on September 15th, ICA has approved the merger with conditions.
