The merger of Advania hf. Tölvumiðlun ehf.

The Competition Authority examined the merger of Advania and Tölvumiðlu. Bothe companies provide IT services. Advania is a large conglomerate that provides a wide range of IT services, while Tölvumiðlun is an It company that sells and develops business software. After its investigation, the ICA has concluded that, despite there being some consolidation within certain submarkets of the IT sector, the merger will not have negative effects on domestic competition. Consequently, there is no reason to intervene in this merger based on Article 17 of the Icelandic Competition Act.
