Ardian acquisition of Míla ehf. from Síminn hf.

Infrastructure funds of Ardian France SA purchased all shares in Míla ehf. and notified the ICA of the merger. The merger concerns most or all wholesale telecoms markets in Iceland and indirectly retail markets in the same sector. 

The ICA issued a statement of objections on 1 July 2022 regarding the potential harmful effects of the merger, mainly due to an extensive and long term wholesale agreement between the seller Síminn and Míla/Ardian following the merger, but also in relation to the transfer of assets and operations from Síminn to Míla prior to and in relation to the merger which altered Míla's operations and capabilities. 

 The merging parties suggested and agreed to remedies, mainly regarding changes to their wholesale agreement and certain behavioural remedies. The merger investigation was concluded with remedies and a settlement on 15 September 2022.
