Securitas hf. fined for abuse of dominance

The Icelandic Competition Authority has fined Securitas hf., a company in the field of security and guarding services, both for homes and companies in Iceland, 80 million ISK for abusing it‘s dominant position in the market. Securitas offers a wide range of security services through diffrent units such as alarm monitoring of security systems. Securitas monitors security systems for both homes and companys through a contract with the duration of 36 months plus termination provisions that the companies customers must undergo.
