AU4 ehf. acquisition of shares in Bál ehf. and Solvent ehf. – change of control of Motus and related companies

The Icelandic Competition Authority has examined the acquisition of shares in Bál ehf. and Solvent ehf. Bál ehf. and Solvent ehf. are holding companies and together they hold 52,08% shares in Greiðslumiðlun Íslands ehf. AU4 ehf. is a not yet founded holding company. Umbreyting slhf. will hold 100% shares in AU4 ehf. Greiðslumiðlun Íslands ehf. holds 100% shares in Motus ehf., debt collection company.

After investigating the merger the Icelandic Competition Authority deems that the merger will not lead to disruption of competition in the markets of the case. Therefore, there is no reason to intervene in this merger on the basis of Article 17 c. of the Icelandic Competition Act no. 44/2005
