Tíu ellefu ehf. and Skeljungur hf.‘s request for exemption from the prohibitonary clauses of the Competition Act regarding leasing of real estate for grocery stores

The ICA has granted an exemption to Rekstrarfélagið Tíu ellefu ehf. (a grocery store chain) and Skeljungur hf. (a petrol and fast food vendor) from the prohibitionary clauses of the Competition Act. The exemption is granted in relation to the parties‘ agreement regarding Tíu ellefu‘s leasing of real estate belonging to Skeljungur, located by that party‘s petrol stations in the capital area, and the operation of Tíu ellefu‘s grocery stores in said real estate.
