Merger of Ölgerðin Egill Skallagrímsson hf. and Ankra ehf

ICA approved the merger of Ölgerðin and Ankra. The aforementioned company produces drinks and beverages and wholesales various food products, and the latter is a wholesale and intermediary for a collagen supplier/producer. Ölgerðin uses collagen as an input for its production of the drink Collab. The authority concluded that this vertical merger did not significantly impede competition.
