Merger parties notified the ICA with a short form merger notification due to the parties insignificant horizontal overlap in their operations, the limited overlap being in industrial tools and pumps. The case documents indicated that the parties’ market shares in their overlapping goods categories were low and the effects on competition minimal. The merger investigation was therefore concluded in phase I without intervention.
