Festi‘s acquisition of Super1‘s discount store

The Competition Authority considered Festi’s acquisition of Super1’s discount store at Hallveigarstígur 1 Reykjavík. The Authority’s conclusion was that there were no indications that the merger would hamper effective competition. The merger would lead to minimal concentration in the grocery store market in Reykjavík and the local effects of the merger were negligible.
