Acquisition by Blásalir ehf. (A holding company) of Talenta ehf. and Staki automation ehf. (both IT service providers in SAP and business intelligence)

The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has reviewed the merger announcement regarding the acquisition by Blásalir ehf. (a holding company) of Talenta ehf. and Staki automation ehf. (both IT service providers in SAP and business intelligence). Blásalir ehf. is owned by Deloitte ehf. Talenta ehf. and Staki automation ehf. are both IT companies that focus on providing service and support for business intelligence and business software.

After its investigation, the ICA has concluded that consolidation within certain submarkets of the IT sector are minimal and that the merger will not have negative effects on domestic competition. Consequently, there is no reason to intervene in this merger based on Article 17 of the Icelandic Competition Act.
