Merger of Reginn hf. and Summit ehf.

The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has reviewed a merger between Regin hf. (on of the larger real estate companies in Iceland) and Summit ehf. (a smaller real estate company). After its investigation it is the ICA's assessment that the merger will neither give rise to a dominant position nor strengthening of a dominant position in the market. The merger is not considered liable to cause appreciable harm to competition in other ways. Therefore, there is no reason to intervene in this merger on the basis of Article 17 c of the Icelandic Competition Act no. 44/2005.
