  The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has examined the merger between Artasan ehf. and Matur og pökkun ehf. Artasan ehf. handles the import, registration, marketing and wholesale of generic bulk pharmaceuticals and health products in cooperation with foreign suppliers. Matur og pökkun ehf. is engaged in wholesale activities and specialise in importing and distributing various food products, in particular confectionery, biscuits, dried fruit and nuts, but also other products such as cleaning and consumables.
