  With this decision ICA approved Hagar’s acquisition of 49% shares in Djús ehf.. Hagar is active in the running of grocery stores and furthermore, the company operates in the storage- and distribution sector through its subsidiary Aðföng. Another of Hagar’s subsidiary, Olís, operates in the petrol and petrol station market, as well as in the health and medical product market, through its own subsidiary, Rekstrarland. Djús ehf. operates restaurants, selling mainly sandwiches and fresh juices. The overlap in the merging parties' activities is limited and, following the merger, their market shares will change little. Therefore, ICA decided that there was no reason to intervene.
