    The Icelandic Competition Authority investigated the purchase by Orkla ASA of a 20% holding in Nói Sirius hf. Through the acquisition and related instruments, Orkla acquires control of Nói Sirius within the meaning of the Competition Act. The companies operate only partially in the same field, ie. on the market for wholesale of candy and on the market for wholesale of savoury snacks. The investigation did not indicate that there was reason to intervene in the transaction.
