  The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has investigated the merger between Icepharma hf. and Lyfis ehf. Icepharma sells and distributes drugs, nursing products, medical devices, healthcare and athletic products.  Lyfis operates as an agent for generic drug companies.  

  The undertakings mostly operate in different markets, however their operations do overlap in a few sub-markets of the pharmaceutical drug market. After investigating the merger, the ICA deems that there is no ground for intervention in the merger on the basis of Article 17 of the Icelandic competition act
