  The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has reviewed a merger between Arctic Adventures hf. and Extreme Iceland ehf. Both undertakings operate in the field of tourism in Iceland and offer many types of services to tourists, e.g. rafting, diving, glacier trips, as well as other types of tours.  

  Arctic Adventures owns all shares in Extreme Iceland and the merger creates a strong undertaking in Icelandic tourism that can provide multiple types of services to tourists on its own. After its investigation, it is the ICA's assessment that the merger will neither give rise to a dominant position or create such a position. The merger is not considered to cause appreciable harm to competition in other ways. Therefore, there is no intervention in the merger on behalf of the ICA.
