  The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has reviewed a merger between Stígandi ehf. (fishery that owns and operates one troller) and Vinnslustöðin hf. (fishery that has versatile operations including four trollers and six other vessels and the production and sales of fish products).  The merger came about with Vinnslustöðin's acquisition of all stock in Stígandi ehf.

  After its investigation it is the ICA's assessment that the merger is not considered liable to cause appreciable harm to competition. Therefore, there is no reason to intervene in this merger on the basis of Article 17 c of the Icelandic Competition Act no. 44/2005.
