  The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has reviewed a merger where an unnamed private company has acquired all stock in Penninn á Íslandi ehf. (a whole sale and retail undertaking selling books, office and school supplies). After its investigation it is the ICA's assessment that the merger is not considered liable to cause appreciable harm to competition. Therefore, there is no reason to intervene in this merger on the basis of Article 17 c of the Icelandic Competition Act no. 44/2005.
