Edda slhf‘s purchase of all shares in Pizza-Pizza ehf. (Domino's Pizza in Iceland) and BHB Fasteignir ehf. (realestate company).

Pizza-Pizza ehf. operates nineteen restaurants under the Domino‘s Pizza brand in Iceland. Edda slhf. is an institutional investment fund that is managed by Virðing hf. Virðing hf. is also in a controlling position (in the meaning of competition law) in a number of other companies on the basis of asset management contracts. None on these companies operate in the same market as Pizza-Pizza ehf. and BHB Fasteignir ehf. It is the ICA's assessment that the merger will not lead to an increased concentration in any market. Therefore, it is the conclusion of the ICA that there is no reason to intervene in this merger on the basis of Article 17 of the Icelandic Competition Act.
