The Competition Authority grants an exemption for standardized measurement of online media in Iceland
Today the Icelandic Competition authority has published a decision (no. 24/2016) in which an exemption, with certain conditions, is granted for the standardized measurement of online media in Iceland. The survey is based on cooperation between Gallup Iceland (GI rannsóknir ehf.) and online media companies in Iceland. The exemption is granted with Article 15 of the Competition Act. According to that Article the Competition Authority can grant exemptions for cooperation that otherwise would breach Article 10 of the Act that prohibits illegal collusion.
